Hello!

I’m Erika. I’m a marketing and events specialist. I focus on bringing innovative solutions, creating memorable events and bringing people together in a sustainable way.

  • Founder of Locals Festival
  • Podcast host and creator of the podcast “Speak Up Erika”
  • Freelance marketer helping local businesses find solutions to grow, thrive and expand their business

I value passion, creative expression and transparency. I’ve spent over 5+ years working in the event and marketing industry working on small to large scales events such as galas, fundraisers, festivals and school events.

My skillset expands to event marketing, planning and execution, marketing strategy and consulting, digital and social media marketing and content creation.

My favourite part about being in the field is seeing the all the work and effort of event planning, designing a poster or implementing a marketing plan come to life.

Future Plans

I plan to continue using my skills in marketing, events, and as a creative to continue building a better tomorrow. Whether that’s supporting my local community, fundraising, or raising issues and awareness about topics that need to be talked about.

Concert & Festival Goer

Every year, I enjoy attending live shows varying from artists such as Childish Gambino, Clairo and Emotional Oranges.

Annually, I go to NYC and attend my favourite festival Governor’s Ball. Sometimes I’ll drive over to Montreal for Osheaga or take a plane to Camp Flog Gnaw.

Mental Health Advocate

Mental health is so important to me as it affects my friends, family and myself.

Being able talk about mental health in my podcast is so important to me because I want to create a safe space for others.

I chat about breaking stigmas and normalizing that it’s okay to not feel okay.
